Just real quick here: I encourage anyone to talk or argue or whatever. I don’t expect to change anyone’s mind; I just want to blow of steam. I don’t really care if you agree with me or not – O.K. I do like it when you agree

I am fallible; I am even wrong on occasion – a lot so my wife tells me. Hell, I am an artist by occupation and education; I am out of my realm here. So, keeping this in mind – don’t take too much to heart. If you don’t like what I have to say or I make a mistake: tell me so. I will show your comments unless they are just so distasteful that I would be embarrassed for one of my kids to stumble upon this.

Does that little story sound familiar to any of you out there? Does it at least make sense? How many of you (those of you who own homes) just signed the paper without reading it? Evidently, if you read something before you sign it you are an idiot; I mean, Congress is full of our best and brightest, right?

From what I understand there was a bill signed that no one read amounting to around $780 billion. What the hell?

Aren’t a lot of these politicians ex-lawyers? Is this the kind of thing people are being taught in law school? I went to an art school and I know better than to just sign some document (actually, I read it was closer to a book coming in at about 1000 pages) that is shoved in front of me with out at least skimming through it.

$780 billion dollars are on the line here. According to http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/ our national debt is 10,795,647,635,729.24. O.K. so that is almost $11 trillion dollars in debt; doesn’t debt mean we owe $11 trillion dollars? So, if we OWE $11 trillion (sigh) where are we getting the $780 billion?

My head is spinning here. Obama has been in office 2 months and we are now $780 billion FURTHER in the hole. Wasn’t this guy complaining about the money being spent on this war?

According to http://www.nationalpriorities.org/costofwar_home this war has cost less than $600 billion – $180 billion (roughly) less than this stimulus package and the war has been going on for, what, six years now? So, Obama, the man for change, the messiah, the last great hope, the man that will save us from ourselves has spent $180 BILLION more than the 6 year war in less than 2 months.

Someone has to pay all of this back. At least I know what Obama meant when he said he would gives us change – change is all that I will have left from my paycheck.

So if Hillary Clinton were a black woman she wouldn’t be in politics? Hmmm…. what about Condoleezza Rice, Mary McLeod Bethune, Shirley Chisholm, Barbara Jordan? More specifically what about the senator Carol Moseley Braun? Surely she has accomplished as much as Hillary Clinton has?

I am tired of hearing about racism and sexism. You hippies are driving me crazy with you imagined problems. You think because the people of a city don’t elect a black man to be the mayor it must be racism. You think that if a man is chosen over a woman it must be sexism. You are all crazy.

Here is a news flash for you: if Obama were white he would not be the Democratic nominee. He is under experienced, he has ties to domestic terrorism, he belongs to a racist church, and he has accomplished nothing in his whole life with the exception of having children and being elected. He is the nominee because he is a BLACK mainstream leftist politician. There were more qualified people running for this office that got shut out. Now If I go back through the list of names can I scream racism if any of the un-chosen are not black? By your logic I can.

Hillary Clinton had a real shot at the presidency but the liberals had to make a choice: first black nominee or first woman nominee? Tough choice but they could only have one and since Hillary is white she lost out. Racism or sexism? Well, Sarah Palin now gets to live forever because she is the first female VP nominee ever in this country. Her name will live on while Hillary may get a mention in a paragraph in a public school textbook. Sexism?

One more thing before I end this rant: If the US government set up special programs just for whites, allowed whites only schools, set up a policy that guaranteed any white could get any job or the employer faced possible fines and jail time … would that be considered racism? What is that you say? That is what it was like prior to the 1960s?!?!? So since it was that way 40 or 50 years ago it should be that way now but only reversed? I see. So I guess, by that logic, the Jewish people in the world need to invade Germany and kill millions of innocent Germans.

None of you want equal rights, you want special rights.

In all seriousness, though, I hope Florida comes out of this OK. I hope and I pray for the families down there and all across our coast line; it looks like it is going to be bad.

How like a liberal to tell someone they will never achieve what someone else has. It seems to me that the dichotomy between liberals and conservatives is this: Liberals say “Look at me, look at what I have achieved. You can never and will never be where I am and it is their fault.” Conservatives say “Look at me. Aspire to be like me. Work hard and you will be where I am.”

Gloria Steinem is a cast off from a generation that did nothing but ruin this country. The hippy civil rights bull that was really nothing more than an abandonment of morality. These people like to claim that they, no one else, are responsible for each and every civil liberty that any of us (except Caucasian males – we are the Devil) enjoy. What do we really have from the ‘60s? Bad art, decent music, worse clothes and hair styles, and a host of whiny communist ass heads are ALL that we got from you filthy hippies.

You complain, Gloria Steinem, about problems that no longer exist. If a woman were found to be mistreated in this country today all hell would break loose. Am I saying that women are not being beaten by their husbands? No, I am saying not every woman who is married is being beaten by her husband. Am I saying women are making as much money as men? Yes I am. I am saying that a woman with the same education working in the same job for the same amount of time makes what her male counterpart makes. There may be some woman that has a job similar to that of a male counterpart in another company: will she make exactly what he does? Probably not. Does that mean there is a conspiracy? No.

The bottom line is this: Gloria, you are in your seventies now and soon you will die of old age. When that day comes there will be a void in the femi-nazi movement that will never and can never be filled. I thank God for that. Not long after you are gone your influence will fade and then you will be nothing more than a vague thought and a well written hate filled series of unread articles and dusty unopened books. The Sarah Palins of the World are on the rise. They are tired of the likes of you and your unshaven sisterhood ranting and raving about nonexistent crimes.

In reality, how often do you make the headlines anymore? I guess that is a misogynistic conspiracy to keep the savior of the American woman in her place. It couldn’t be that we just don’t believe you.

BET should be considered racist. Al Sharpton will have to start apologizing for his false accusations. No more Jesse Jackson as a “Black/African-American Leader”. Why do black people need a leader? Where is the Asian-American leader? Where is the Irish American leader? How about an Italian-American leader?  No more African-American … now you will just be called an American.

No more excuses and no more blaming “the man”. Who the hell is he anyway? If there is a conspiracy to keep the black man down I wasn’t told and I damn sure am not getting any of that “rich white man” money.

It will be interesting to see who will be blamed for keeping anyone down if Obama wins. Will people begin to take responsibility for their own actions? I doubt it.

I read his article, or maybe it should be considered an essay, and I found that his essay is fully of half truths.

He talks about the police brutalizing Andrew William Meyer during a Kerry speech. For those of you who don’t remember Mr. Meyer he was the young man that yelled “Don’t tase me, bro!” right before the police lit him up.

It has already been proven that this kid was in the wrong, not the police. He was acting like a drama queen ass, like the rules are somehow different for him. He acted like he could do what ever he wanted. He acted like a typical American.

I guess what I am getting at is this: people like Paul Craig Roberts who go around spreading tales like the one about our Mr. Meyer here do the American people a disservice. He is not out and out lying, the police did tase Meyer, but it wasn’t police brutality. The police were doing their jobs. Paul Craig Roberts is telling only half the story, the half that makes all of the police seem corrupt and dangerous. They are not corrupt, for the most part, and are only as dangerous as they need to be to protect.

I think it is amazing how quickly people forget that the police hardly ever come into contact with average citizens. The only time we ever really have contact with them is if we are speeding or we are a victim of a crime. These men and women in blue put their lives on the line everyday facing the worst people in the country. They deal with horrible people like child rapists and they see things that no person should ever have to see.

Maybe they become jaded after a while. Maybe they start seeing everyone they deal with as a potential life threatening situation … I would. I think that if we want to change the police force from an always-on-alert force into a force that simply monitors traffic speed we, as citizens, need to step up.

It is our children that are selling drugs and committing drive bys. It is our brothers and sisters that prostitute and steal. We need to help the police, not fight them. We need to give them back the authority they need to effectively protect our communities.

I didn’t use any form of medication or hypnosis or any of that stuff. I just quit. I had tried for years but I finally came to realize that in the past i failed because I didn’t really want to quit. That was they key; I had to want to quit.

I am not saying that this woul work for everyone but before you go out and buy that expensive quick fix just try it. Just stop smoking.

It is hard … it is probablly one of the hardest things I have ver done. I had to learn to drink with out smoking and play my guitar with out smoking. If any of you reading this are used to having that drink with a smoke you know EXACTLY what I mean.

It was hard but it only took a few months for the need, the urgency, to stop. It seemed like it never would but it did.

I don’t know if this will help anyone but I hope it does. If you want to quit smoking I encourage you to try. If you don’t want to quit smoking then I say enjoy it while you can.

this seems to be an issue for al of us these days. Crime is on the rise and the crime seems to be getting more violent and seems to end up in homicide more often. Personally, I don’t want to be killed by some asshole over what he thinks he can get from me. I do’t want my wife raped or murdered and I most certainly do not want anything to happen to my children. what do I do?

I am fighting back. I have already decided that if someone breaks into my home they are there to harm me or my family if the opportunity arises. I will do my best to keep that from happening. I have taken measures … they are not fool proof but they are better than nothing. I have already commited myself to shooting anyone that is in my house uninvited. 

I have heard people say that having a gun in the house is a danger because the criminals will get it and use it against you. Maybe … but chancers are great that I will put two rounds center mass before they realize i even have a gun. 

I hope I never have to kill anyone but these days I have to wonder how much longer it will be before there is all out war in the streets.

I think we should all band together against these people, these criminals. We should no longer just allow them to do as they please. Maybe it is time to protect ourselves rather than hope someone else will be there when we need them.
